London companies are struggling to find enough talented people to fill technology roles amid concerns about a shortage of digital talent in the UK, new data reveal.

More than one in 10 new jobs created in the capital this year have been technology roles, according to jobs site Indeed.
However, almost half of the hardest roles to fill, those open for more than 60 days on Indeed, are developer roles, the data show. Indeed also said more senior roles are proving “tricky” to fill.
Industry figures have called on Theresa May to soften her approach to overseas workers, who are seen as crucial for specialist technology roles.
“[There is a] tech talent shortage, especially where developer and more senior roles are concerned,” Raj Mukherjee, Indeed’s senior vice-president of product, said.
Within Development areas such as KDB and Algo-Trading are very hard to find. Often the talent here requires visa sponsorship. For more information regarding Tier 2 General Visa Sponsorship do contact us at consult@mavisas.co.uk.
